The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

A robot vacuum/mop combination is the ideal solution for pets who shed fur. The machine can mop and vacuum and even clean and dry its own dual mop pads.

It also has 8,000Pa suction, the highest of any robot we've examined. It can also save your home's maps and set cleaning schedules from its app.

1. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni robot vacuum-mop is the latest in Ecovacs range of hybrid robot vacuum mops. This wet/dry model includes the updated AIVI 3D2.0 lidar system Ecovacs, which offers improved mapping and obstruction avoidance. It uses dual laser LiDAR that is similar to that found in self-driving vehicles. It can scan up to 32 feet across by the 270-degree angle. This translates to more accurate mapping and faster response times and higher cleaning accuracy.

It also features a rotating mopping pad constructed of chenille fabric. This makes it much easier to scrub difficult areas unlike traditional mopping. During my tests it was able to clean the X2 Omni washed its pad in just a few seconds and was ready to go. I noticed that it was more accurate than other models that seemed to follow the grid of rooms. It was able to navigate around corners and edges of my rooms, and also create "Zambani patterns" up and down the middle of the room. It returned to its OMNI Station frequently to empty the dustbin, and clean the mop using hot water, before starting another cleaning task.

Like other Ecovacs products, the X2 Omni is easy to set up and begin using. It takes only a few minutes to secure the dock into place, plug it in and connect to your Wi-Fi network at home. Then, you're able to launch the app and get started with your first cleaning task. I was able dive into the settings and customize my floor plan in less than 15 minutes, including creating specific areas for mopping and sweeping and reworking my furniture layouts, and much more. The X2 Omni impressed me during my tests. It scored high in the areas of pet hair removal and debris removal, and had near-perfect results for edge and crevices cleaning.

2. Deebot T10 Omni

If you need a powerful combination of vacuuming and mopping look into the EcoVACS Deebot Omni. It is the most advanced of the T-line from the company and features the brand new OZMO Turbo2.0 mopping system that makes use of a dual-spinning brush to provide better cleaning than traditional scrubbers. It comes with YIKO, an artificial language processing technology that is the first of its kind. This allows it to respond to a variety of voice commands. You can use the ECOVACS app to map your home, establish cleaning schedules, and alter settings.

The main drawback of the T10 Omni is that it's unable to switch between mopping and vacuuming in one go. The T10 Omni has two modes that require you to attach mop heads and take them off according to your needs. This is fine for most households, but not so for those who lead busy lives.

The Deebot T10 is a fantastic robot vacuum that gives impressive results. It vacuumed up more than 96% of the dust we threw at it on our hardwood floors and floors, which is a remarkable performance. It did a great job on tiles and carpets, removing the majority of dirt.

This robot mop and vacuum has a large docking station which offers cool water cleaning for the mop pads, auto-emptying into a 3L disposable bag that is easy to replace, and hot-air drying for quick and easy maintenance. It also has a huge water tank that permits more frequent rinses and dries between mopping runs.

Like other mopping machines like the Deebot T10 Omni, it comes with a wash tray at its base, which rinses and dries its mop pads when it uses them. It does not have a removable tray so dust, dirt and other grime will gradually build up in the bottom.

3. RoboVac X8 hybrid

While Anker's Eufy is well-known in the world of robot vacuums but this model is its first venture into the world of mopping. It has enhanced smarts, multiple map support and LIDAR scanning, along with twin turbine suction technology that adjusts to the surface you're cleaning. It's a mid-range cleaner that's attractive, even if its claim of being a one-stop-shop for floor cleaning doesn't quite come true.

The X8 Hybrid looks like a regular robotic vacuum cleaner from the top with its circular design with sweeping wheels and an elevated area for sensors. However, flip it over there's an electric floor brush as well as one side sweeper brush that carries dirt from the edges into the main path of the robot's mouth. It's a bit smaller than the main brushes on the competing iRobot Roomba S9, which I found to be easier to access under sofas and chairs.

The mapping system is quite sophisticated and allows you to set no-mop zones and specific cleaning zones. It is prone to bumping into things like its charging station, and isn't very good at navigating over carpets. It was capable of picking up pet hair on bare floors, though, and during our tests, it picked up 89.5% of kitty litter - a figure that puts it ahead of any of the most powerful robots we've tested.

While it's controllable via the app, the X8 Hybrid also comes with a series of physical buttons on its base, which allow you to select a cleaning mode and switch the robot vacuum for dog hair off or on. You can also use them to set no-go zones as well as see maps in real-time. It's also a little chatty and will inform you of what it's going to do next (start cleaning) or warn you if something isn't working.

4. ILIFE A4s

This advanced model collects pet hair, kibble, and other particles with top-quality effectiveness and effortlessly moves around furniture legs. It also has an impressive feature set that includes two cleaning modes as well as a self-emptying dock and real-time obstacle avoidance technology. It's Wi-Fi-connected and best controlled through the Neato app which allows cleaning to be scheduled and overall maintenance needs are monitored. The X2 Omni is a great option for homes that have a mix of hard and carpet flooring. However, it will need some planning ahead to avoid getting entangled with power cables, toys, or other obstacles that might be unexpected.

The robot performed well in our tests of hardwood floors and kibble. It was able to pick up everything from a single rice grain to a variety of dog food pieces with just one pass. It had some trouble with rugs, but generally, this vacuum cleaner is perfect for large rooms that have floors of different types and a mix of pets.

It's a bit expensive, but if you can manage the price, it's a great purchase for those who wish to be able to leave their homes free to do other tasks or complete chores. The A4s Pro has a convenient auto-cleaning mode that boosts suction to take on tough dirt or spills. It also includes a battery-powered ElectroWall to establish boundaries for the robot.

This budget-friendly robot vacuum cleaner for pet hair from a renowned new brand is the most affordable we've ever tested and offers exceptional value for the money. Its basic navigation system uses a super-basic random pathing algorithm that isn't equipped with room mapping capabilities, which makes it less efficient than the other models on this list. It's still able to navigate under furniture and in the corners. Its mopping mode performed very well in our tests, picking up stray hair and other debris.

5. Shark iQ

Shark's iQ may not be as well-built however, it's better at cleaning pet hair from all surfaces. It cleans floors that are bare more efficiently and does a decent job on carpets with low pile, and it uses smart-pathing navigational technology for better maneuverability. It can be positioned to a particular area and includes a variety of advanced automation features, including no-go zones and schedules. It also allows you to stop and resume cleaning sessions making it ideal for homes that have pets.

Its self cleaning brushroll prevents tangles and can hold up to 30 days of dirt. It comes with of side brushes that are angled to reach into corners and a multi-stage filter system that collects dust, allergens, and dander.

This vacuum feels solid and well-constructed, and it comes with an app for smartphones that lets you change the settings of your vacuum and schedule cleaning sessions in advance. The app allows you to see the remaining battery life of the iQ, and send push notifications when it encounters any problems during a cleaning session. You can also control it using your voice via an Amazon Alexa device or Google Assistant device. If you don't own either of these devices, you can mark areas with physical boundary lines.

The iQ does a good job of removing bare flooring and doing a good job on shaggy and low-pile carpet, but it doesn't have the same level of autonomy as our top selections. It's also expensive and the recurring costs can add up over time.
