irobot roomba i4+ evo: ultimate self-emptying robot vacuum was the first to introduce self-emptying robots using its Roomba i7. It's now taken this technology to a new level with the s9+. The flagship model is expensive, but it has the best performance we've seen from any robovac and comes with upgrades other brands could only dream of.

It first sucks dirt into its Clean Base automatically. It then emptys it into a large, dust bag which you dispose of every 60 days. This makes it an excellent choice for those who want to avoid the hassle of to cleaning, but also need the peace of mind that comes with knowing their home is clean and free of allergens and germs.

The s9+ also has advanced corner-cleaning capabilities that allow it much closer to walls than previous models, and is more adept at spot cleaning as well. If it determines that a particular area needs extra attention it will send it back there with a recurring schedule. If the area is extremely dirty, the s9 returns to it with a stronger suction until all the mess has been removed.

The s9+ can be controlled by the app included or using Amazon Alexa (the s9+ is compatible with both) that allows you to give full voice commands that include the ability of start, stop and pause. You can program the robot to start and stop its work at a particular time, or let it decide when it should return to its dock.

The s9+ is great for flooring that is clean. It can easily get rid of small particles like rice, as well as larger objects like cereal. It is also good at cleaning low-pile carpets and has a powerful suction, even if the dirt compartment is full. However, it will not work as well with thicker carpets.

2. Roborock S7 maxV Ultra

Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra robot vacuum and mop can sweep carpets, detect rugs, and self-clean. It is one of the hands-off robotic cleaners available. Its advanced mapping and navigation systems offer superior maneuverability. The companion app lets you to choose from a range of cleaning configurations. It also supports third-party applications that allow you monitor your home as it is in motion.

The S7 MaxV Ultra, like its predecessor, is excellent at sweeping carpets and hard floors. It scored highly in our dirt pickup tests and performed well in tackling difficult-to-clean tasks such as the sand embedding test and the carpet deep clean test which we conduct by weighing the dust bin of the robot prior to and after a predetermined amount of time. The S7 MaxV Ultra is also excellent at mopping, and has lots of suction power to tackle both small and bulky debris and pet hair on bare floors. It is more difficult with carpets with a low pile that are densely woven, however, it can still handle the majority of the hair.

This model is among the quietest that we've tested with a maximum level of just 57.5 dBA when in its low-power "Quiet" mode. It's not as quiet when it's in its maximum-power setting, 'Max that produces more than 80 dBA.

The S7 MaxV Ultra comes with a dedicated dock that can automatically empty the robot's dustbin and fill up its water tank. It's a little more difficult to configure the X1 Omni, but once you've gotten it set up, your robot will run on its own.

3. Shark IQ XL

The Shark IQ Robot XL has a powerful suction, and many clever features. It has a bagless self-emptying base and can map your home while it cleans to ensure full coverage.
